Baton Rouge Beer Pong

• Game starts by either rolling dice, tossing a coin, or paper-rock-scissors to decide which team gets choice of going first or second.

• 2 throws per team per round.
- players may each take 1 shot, or have one team member take both shots and alternate rounds.

• 1 bounce or straight shot (a la Basketball)
-once ball hits table twice, ball may be retrieved. However, if at any time a player drops a ball into a cup, the cup is removed.

• 2 shots in a row earns a bonus shot, and so on until a miss (make it, take it). Cups are removed after all shots have been taken for the entire round.

• Distractions (“psych-outs”) are allowed, but no contact with cups or balls is allowed. If ball is interfered with (goaltending), the shot is counted.

• Blowing – contestants may blow on opponent's balls after they make contact with the cup; this is usually done when the ball is “rimming” the cup.

• No one wants to play with dirty balls – please wash them regularly.

• If a cup is accidentally knocked over, it is removed from play.

• Under no circumstances may you place your opponent's balls in your mouth.

• As cups are eliminated, they are restacked at 4 (diamond), 3 (pyramid), and 2 (side by side or front and back). If playing with 12 cups (two pyramids), pyramids are combined when 6 cups remain.

• Game ends when all cups on one side have been eliminated. Return shots (last chances) are allowed only if opposing team went second to begin with.

• In the event of a tie, each team starts with 3 cups in a pyramid, and game continues after another coin toss.
